Navigation & Interface

This guide explains how to navigate the ZEM Cloud interface and access its various features.

The main navigation is located in the left sidebar. Available sections depend on your user role and permissions.

Main Sections

  • Home - Dashboard with statistics and quick overview
  • Endpoint Overview - List and manage all desktop endpoints
  • Mobile Devices - List and manage enrolled mobile devices
  • Packages - View software packages across all endpoints
  • Action Queue - View pending and completed remote actions

Administration

  • User Management - Manage administrator accounts
  • Audit Log - View system activity and changes
  • Configuration Settings - System configuration and agent scripts

Quick Actions

  • Enrol Endpoint (green + icon) - Open the enrolment wizard
  • Theme Toggle - Switch between light and dark mode
  • Profile Menu - Access your account settings and logout

Page Layout

Most pages follow a consistent layout:

Header Area

  • Page title and breadcrumb navigation
  • Action buttons (Add, Filter, Export, etc.)
  • Search functionality where applicable

Content Area

  • Data tables with sortable columns
  • Filter panels for refining results
  • Detail modals for viewing and editing items

Pagination

Large data sets are paginated. You can:

  • Change rows per page (25, 50, 100, 200)
  • Navigate between pages using Previous/Next buttons
  • Jump to a specific page number

Tables

Sorting

Click any column header to sort the table by that column. Click again to reverse the sort order. An arrow indicator shows the current sort direction.

Filtering

Many tables include a Filter button that opens a panel with options to narrow down results by various criteria such as:

  • Operating system type
  • Online/offline status
  • Update availability
  • Date ranges

Row Actions

Click on a table row to open the detail view or modal for that item. Some rows may have action buttons on the right side for quick actions.

Modals

Modals are popup windows used for:

  • Viewing detailed information
  • Editing settings or configuration
  • Confirming destructive actions
  • Wizards and multi-step processes

To close a modal:

  • Click the X button in the top-right corner
  • Click outside the modal (on the blurred background)
  • Press the Escape key

Notifications

Toast Messages

Brief notifications appear in the top-right corner to confirm actions:

  • Green - Success (action completed)
  • Red - Error (action failed)
  • Blue - Information

Toast messages automatically disappear after a few seconds.

Theme

ZEM Cloud supports both light and dark themes. Toggle between them using the theme button in the sidebar or header.

Your theme preference is saved and will persist across sessions.

Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Escape - Close open modals
  • Enter - Submit forms (when focused on input)

Mobile Responsiveness

The ZEM Cloud interface is designed to work on desktop browsers. For the best experience, use a screen width of at least 1024 pixels.
