Change Log

The Change Log tab displays the version history and release notes for ZEM Cloud and the agent scripts.

Accessing the Change Log

  1. Click Configuration Settings in the sidebar
  2. Select the Change Log tab

Change Log Types

The change log is divided into two sections:

Dashboard Change Log

Shows version history for the ZEM Cloud dashboard (app.py). This includes:

  • New features and capabilities
  • Bug fixes
  • UI improvements
  • API changes
  • Security updates

Agent Change Log

Shows version history for the endpoint agents across all platforms. This includes:

  • Ubuntu/Debian agent updates
  • Arch Linux agent updates
  • Fedora agent updates
  • macOS agent updates
  • Windows agent updates

Reading the Change Log

Each release entry includes:

  • Version Number - The release version (e.g., v4.2.4)
  • Release Date - When the version was released
  • Changes - List of what's new, fixed, or improved

Change Categories

Changes are typically categorised as:

  • New - New features or capabilities
  • Improved - Enhancements to existing features
  • Fixed - Bug fixes
  • Security - Security-related updates
  • Breaking - Changes that may require action

Staying Updated

Review the change log regularly to:

  • Learn about new features you can use
  • Understand fixes for issues you may have experienced
  • Prepare for any breaking changes
  • Track security updates applied to your instance

Version Information

Your current versions are displayed in the Configuration Settings > General tab under License Details. Compare these with the latest versions in the change log to see if updates are available.
